Maize flakes make a nice variation to other types of flaked cereals. Because maize is gluten-free, it is ideal for people who prefer not to or cannot eat gluten. You can use our maize flakes to make a great-tasting breakfast porridge (simmer for 15 minutes and leave to stand for another 5 minutes) or you can eat them uncooked stirred in milk or yoghurt. Tip: Of all cereals, maize contains the lowest concentrations of minerals and vitamins so it is important to add other ingredients if you want to make a nutritious breakfast.
